nope from ebay

Hello ***************
We're sorry to see from the Detailed Seller Ratings you left with your feedback that you weren't all that pleased with the item you bought recently (********************).
It's important to us that as one of our most valued customers, you're completely happy when you buy on eBay. So we'd like to find out what happened. Could you give us a call on 020 8080 2105 and let us know?
If the seller didn't send your item or it really wasn't as they'd described it, you should report them to us. We'll then look into things for you and take action if we need to.

In the meantime, we'd like to offer you a voucher for £10* to spend on eBay - we hope it'll go some way towards making up for your disappointment this time. Simply enter your redemption code ************* when paying for the item.

That so stupid, i get enough idiots leaving neg as it is.

It could be worse,
someone could post this info on the internet (say a deals website)

To be fair buyers leave negs nowdays, just because they can and can't get one back. Feedback extortion is rife, it's why a lot of sellers have left.

I agree its too easy for buyers, i don't often leave neg but after contacting the seller to let them know i was not happy but not after a refund i got a very rude reply otherwise i wouldn't have bothered.

letting only buyers leave neg is good as i have had bad things happen in past and just not left fb at all incase they left me bad but i also think its bad because it means buyers have much more power now, saying that tho now things have changed i dont take as much notice of fb as i used to because i know its pretty one sided and there will only be the odd idiot who leaves neg for no reason most buyers still seem to be playing fair :)
ebay giving £10 out for leavng bad seems a little silly tho it could encourage some people to do it just for the freebie

I had something similar happen last week, I bought a breathable car cover which I needed as my car was leaking and I wanted the cover to protect it. I wanted a breathable one so that I could leave it on for longer and paid a bit more for this on an ebay auction, after numerous missed promises the cover finally arrived a month later. As it was raining I quickly took the cover out and put it on the car then checked the box afterwards only to find out it was not a breathable one at all. I contacted the seller who said they'd organise a breathable then heard no more unsurprisingly. As I now desperately needed the cover I decided to chalk it down as a bad experience as I couldn't do with sending it away while the car was unprotected and as the cover was already used after one night it wasn't in great condition.

I left appropriate feedback giving the seller one out of five stars for everything as their communication had been rubbish, dispatch time a joke, delivery charge extorionate and the item description completely inaccurate. eBay phoned me up last week asking what had gone wrong then offered 20 pounds for my eBay account as compensation.

I really hope people don't abuse this although I suspect they probably will and it will be withdrawn,

John
