Just bought one of a mate and he forgot to give me the charger/cables, I have to wait a week to get them and wondered if I could charge it using a usb cable or something? they're not too expensive so I'll pop into Central London now and get one, just dont want to go for nothing!

Any help appreciated.

I have just got a Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX35 for my 18th and must say that it is a great camera. The USB cable supplied with my camera (which is very similar in design to your camera) connects from the USB port on a computer to the AV OUT/DIGITAL port on the camera. This is therefore for access to the camera's memory/memory card only.

The camera cannot be charged with the USB cable, however there is a diagram of another cable that connects from a mains socket to the camera's DC IN socket that may be used to charge the camera if you do not have the usual battery charger. The item number of this AC adaptor is DMW-AC5G, however I would check that this is compatible with your camera before buying anything.

Hope this helps. Russ

I have also just checked and it does seem quite elusive. Panasonic shouldn't really advertise optional cables if they are not available. All I can suggest is going to the panasonic website and contacting a dealer near you to see if they have anything...
