I sent an item using Parcelforce Euro 48 to Portugal on the 30th July . I then got an email from the person this week telling me they hadn't received the item . Upon checking through the track and trace system I found that the delivery agency that ParcelForce used saying that it was an incorrect insufficient address . However for the address not supposedly exisitng they tried one day , then waited one week and attempted again . I was even able to find the address on google streetview as well as having ebay and the buyer confirm the address. After emailing customer support at Parcelforce they fobbed me of with the old "it's not our problem" and "we can't do anything" . The item is now lying in a warehouse in Lisbon for the past week having supossedly been returned to sender .
Shouldn't Parcelforce be able to refund me the cost of the service ? would'nt this be breach of contract . It also looks like i'll have to refund the buyer as I don't think they'll want to wait another month to receive the item only for the same to happen again :(
Can anyone tell me if a claim can be done online as well as Parcelforce say they'll only deal with a claim up until 30 days after dispatch and i;m not sure they'll receive the claim form in time because of the bank holiday.
