My daughter is in the process of trying to buy a flat in a new development in Parkhead. I don't know Glasgow at all.....can anyone give me views on this area please?

oh,no sorry to hear that!
bullet proof vest needed i think!!!!!!

This one?

Don't do it - its not the best of areas

Although there is lots of regeneration in the area due to the Commonwealth Games in 2014, its still not great. Plus you will have great views of the tattie dome
Glasgow :?

Stick to your backward inbred island pal
I'd rather buy one in Ibrox :) Come on Motherwell lol
not the best area, to make it worse its filled with celtic fans.............. *Shudder*
To be honest if she could try a little closer to the City Centre then she would be better off as the surrounding area is a bit rough, especially Tollcross. If it's a modern flat she's after then there are places like the Dennistoun Village development which is about 5/6yrs old now and the area is fine to walk around. The area that the Bellway development is in, like anywhere so close to a football ground, will be a nightmare at home games. Although the area should get regeneration money for the 2014 Games as Dimebars said, that will take a few years to really take effect. Hope she finds something suitable whatever she decides!

have you managed to sell your house yet:) must be really stressful now after 9months on the market.

OP Parkhead isnt the best of places - and would maybe get her to look around a bit more:thumbsup:
Thanks very much for all the was a beautiful flat.....but maybe better looking elsewhere
