Someone was moaning on Watchdog about this. I think all Merlin attractions have parking charges now. Dunno how much though.

Not only do they screw you on admission fees and their extortionate food prices they also expect you to pay to park there. TF I don't go

Yeah £6 and it's a canny walk from the car park too. Premium parking is about £15 I think. You can park for free if you stay at one of the parks hotels (which are great). Don't think the food is badly priced at Alton Towers, Burger Kings, KFC and a Pizza Buffet all similar price to the high street.

It's £6 in teh normal Car Park and £16 in the express car park. The express is literally right by teh entrance, but there's a free monorail from the £6 car parks anyway.

looked into going via public transport, and the links weren't that great.

Thorpe park was £2 the other day, thats even if your disabled which is a bit unfair as there is no public transport that can take wheelchairs that go there.

It is £6 and if you walk to the hotels you can pick up the monorail which is alot nearer than walking to the entrance.

Yeah Alton Towers being in the middle of nothingness means most will go by car. Couple of quid fair enough, but £6?! What a rip off.
