Morning All,

I'm going to london tomorrow for the day and was wondering if anyone knew the best place to park near central london? I will be looking to use the tube once in london to get from place to place. But I just need somewhere to leave my car?

Does anyone know any tube station which have free parking or with a small charge?

Thanks

Abz

Best park out of the centre and tube in. Free parking near where I'm staying this weekend in Forest Gate.

On a Sunday I drove straight to the centre of London and parked up round the corner from Piccadilly Circus, I couldn't tell you where it was exactly but parking was free there on a Sunday. It was less than a 5 minute walk.

I then got lost and ended up in the underground some how at 9-10pm at night sat on the station platform on my own to get back to Piccadilly Circus, I thought this is where I will get shanked!

When I go from Birmingham I park and ride from Ruislip (about a couple of mile off the end of the M40), think it's £1 all day. Probably at least 30-40 minute tube to central London though, this is where I go when going to Wembley.

I would imagine a fair few tube stations on the outskirts have car parks but I think much further in and you pay the congestion charge but then the return journey to your car is reduced so I guess the choice it your then.

Thanks for that Greg....Will see if i can find ruislip address and look into that!

ideally i would like to be as close to central london as possible as i got a dinner booked at night which is the other side of london! so will need the car for that....I dont want to spend too much time on the tube (picking and dropping of the car)
