seen this mentioned elsewhere, check out this auction and then scroll down to the payment options..... great auction, can see its only a matter of time before people (sellers) leave in droves because of the new rules in may...

catch it quick before it gets pulled....

Amazon.co.uk

I've only used Amazon marketplace and that can be hit and miss. Fees are high, but you can leave your items up until they sale for free. You have to watch the P&P carefully though as it is a flat rate, no matter what size/weight your item is. if you know what your doing, this can be used to your advantage, if you don't, then you can find yourself out of pocket.

The others I've heard are good, but just do not have the number of customers, so people aren't able to sell their stuff there.

Spot on what he saying.
#22
haha enjoyed that.

He's ended the Auction early. What a pity. :( I'm posting his reason here in case the listing is removed (Apologies but the CAPS are all his):

"I AM SORRY BUT I HAVE HAD TO CANCEL THIS AUCTION. THE MAIN REASON IS THREATENING EMAILS I AM GETTING AND ALSO THE FACT THAT EBAY WILL CLEARLY BID THIS UPTO £10M AND THEN TRY AND DO ME FOR THE FEES.

I HAD NO IDEA THIS AUCTION WOULD GET THE GLOBAL RESPONSE IT HAS AND ITS JUST A SHAME THAT EBAY WOULD RATHER THREATEN ME THAN ENGAGE ITS CUSTOMERS – BUT I GUESS THAT’S JUST THE WAY LIFE IS THESE DAYS.

I WOULD LIKE TO WISH EVERYONE ALL THE VERY BEST AND I HOPE TO SEE AS MANY OF YOU AS POSSIBLE ON PLACES LIKE WWW.TAZBAR.CO.UK GO ON, GIVE THEM YOUR SUPPORT. ONE OF US MAKES NO DIFFERENCE – THOUSANDS MAY DO, MILLIONS WILL!

SORRY FOR ENDING THIS EARLY, HOPE YOU ALL UNDERSTAND WHY I HAD TO.

ANYONE WHY STILL WANTS TO BUY THE LAPTOP PLEASE SEE MY AUCTION ON WWW.TAZBAR.CO.UK"

Loving his work! I officially sold my last item on eBay a few days ago, I have slowly been giving it up and now I am done :)

Only ways Ebay are ever going to change it's ways are either through immense pressure from the shareholders, possibly the lawcourts, or through a mass exodus.

Individual voices like this seller create a 24 hour buzz and then get lost to history.

Don't get me wrong I wholeheartedly agree and support what he has written and admire him for his stance. Problem is though next week it will have become an anecdote.

Too many people nowadays earn their living through Ebay coupled with the criminal element who don't give a stuff about what is right or wrong, just so long as they can make their money.
Ebay know this and use it to their advantage, they have a monopoly and that is the root cause of the problems.

Just my opinion of course. :)

There's lots of talk about sellers boycotting the feedback system and just not leaving any. I think that might be effective, but it needs to be organised.

Love it!!

Anyone actually used tazbar before??
#29
I have used Tazbar before, its fab, im on there now!! Will soon be selling over there as its soooo much better, and im sure its free to list as well last i was on there.

I saw it was pulled as he posted on Tazbar saying

"Ive taken the auction down now, as I was getting some seriously nasty threats, and ebay do know who I am and where I live. Im not completely stupid and I know when to quit."

Which is fair enough but it was soooo true!

They could never charge him - unless of course the winning bidder paid him - and that was never going to happen. Guess he just got cold feet - but it was certainly an excellent post. Surprised its still there!

He said he cancelled because he was worried it would be bid up to £1M and ebay try to bill him. I'm saying he would have nothing to fear from that happening because unless he received his £1M it would be a void auction because of a non paying winner.
#39
Well I'm jumping ship, eBay are just ripping the p*** out of the buyers and sellers.
