I've bought a Medion Akoya MD8396 from Aldi a couple of weeks ago but it does not appear to be "wireless enabled" any advice would be appreciated.

go into device manager and click on hardware, move the list to networks and see what network card yoo have installed, if you have built in wireless that card will be shown there

If it is not Wireless enabled which judging by these specs it isnt.

Then you need a wireless adapter, you can get a PCI one which will be fitted inside the PC or a USB wireless adapter, which is much easier.
