Paypal account has 'Limited Access' because of ebay dispute....Can i still buy/sell things?

My paypal account is in a Limited Access Status just now due to a chancer on Ebay claiming a parcel never arrived from me which i sent on Monday.

It now around minus £3 in arrears as the took the money out of the account and put it on hold until the dispute gets resolved.

So, i've a few items ending on Ebay this weekend, plus want to buy a few things but just wondering what exactly the 'Limited Access' status means??

Can i still buy and sell as normal?

Yes you can defo still receive money in but just cannot buy items or withdraw money .....same thing happend to me a while ago. Hope you get sorted soon, mine took a couple of weeks and had to pay for an item with postal order so extra 10% :x

So i would just be quicker to resolve the damn thing and cut my losses by just giving up the case and refunding the money to the rip off merchant on ebay?

Up to you really, if it was only a low value thing then yes but hope you got a proof of postage to claim money back from Royal Mail. That's what I did in the end.

All i got is the receipt from posting it second class, not recorded.

Paypal asked me for a tracking number, i just put in the reciept number and told em the buyer only paid for second class. So its up to them now.

They will win then as PP only accept proof of delivery not a receipt.

Yes thats OK you can still claim money back from RM. Get a form from the Post Office and send off with copy of receipt and print from sold page on Ebay. You will get your money back but it takes a short while.

Thats a terribly flawed system then.

I could simply buy something from someone on Ebay then and as long as its not sent recorded i could just say i never received it! :?
