I just wanted to ask this to save me trawling through paypal help site.
Someone has asked if they can pay for an item on ebay through paypal at around £1400. How much will this cost me? and how easy is it to withdraw the money from there after??
Rep for help

I would say no to taking that much via paypal due to the fact you can be scammed and lose out on a lot of money.
Right thats a no then

I have had money withdrawn back through PayPal, they disputed even though there was nothing wrong and PayPal locked the funds and eventually returned the money to the buyer because could not prove that I had posted it even though I had proof of posting and it was signed for!!!

Take a deposit via PayPal and get the rest by bank transfer or cash on collection
Sold something recently for £780 and ebay fees and paypal came to just under £80,Sold for more than i expected so wasnt too bothered but the fees are getting a bit steep,
yes they are, i ended up putting on classified ad as the fees were going to be too steep
if you have enough feedback ...... ask the buyer to pay via banktransfer .... its much safer for you (with that amount of cash)
they could argue they didnt recieve it, if you do get tracking method then they can tell their credit card it was an unauthorised transaction ........ no win situation ..... its mostly with high priced items
