Do you mean the funds, they will do as it's probably been classed as a high risk transaction. You should send it by the postal method you put in your listing and not charge anymore. Personally I would not send a phone to Italy, because of the large postal problem they seem to have over their with items going missing.
*EDIT* Did it sell for over £150, if it did you will need online tracking and THE CUSTOMERS signature online to prove they received it anything less won't do for paypal. Most services won't guarantee this when the parcel crosses borders...........

ah right, yeh it was £260, i have 39 feedback, 100% on ebay, and i do sell things most days but this is the first time, well seen me bum tbh!!

A lot of people leave feedback when they receive payment.........it's too late to change it when it all goes wrong.

have heard lot of stories that italian ebayers are scamming high risk items by claiming they have not received phones, ipods, iphones, personally i would not sell to anyone in Italy, i would refund payment and relist and sell to u.k bidders only

i wont get nearly as much if a uk bidder bought it thats the thing and the money is in my paypal, paypal say if she leaves me positive feedback they will release funds, id be happy if i had the funds in my bank before i sent it out, not being held by paypal

Oh and don't forget sellers can't neg either or leave neg comments.

Exactly. And most don't realise they can leave follow up comments either. :-(

you won`t get funds for at least 10 days IF all goes well. if it goes belly up you`ve lost the phone and the money, thats why italians over bid

You are missing the point.........you send this then you'll have 0 funds. Also Paypal will hold payment now until it's delivered and feedback left wherever you sell it.
[mod]#11
thats why i never sell outside the uk! hope you get refunded
#12
me thinks this will end in tears, and for what an xtra £20 a genuine ebayer would`ve bid
[mod]#13
If you don't believe us mate then i can only recommend you send it and learn the hard way. As they say.........once bitten twice shy. :)

Please post the item right away. We'll release the funds when one of the following occurs:
you receive positive feedback from the buyer
it's been 21 days since the payment date and you haven't received a dispute, claim, chargeback, or reversal on the transaction being held
Learn more about the PayPal Policy for payment holds for eBay items.

Do you seriously think that a scammer, one with full protection of zero legal possible recourse from yourself, will be stopped by the fact that DHL says he signed for a package? They signed for a package containing anything. Potatoes. If they even say they received a phone, there's nothing to stop them saying it was misdescribed and pulling a chargeback out of you that way.

Look, think about it rationally. This guy is:

1) Buying lots of phones
2) Paying well over the odds for those phones

Now, why would anyone buy lots of expensive second-hand phones? The only reason I can think of is to sell on, at a profit. Except, then point 2 comes in. There's no profit on handsets bought at high prices. The only answer can be that he's buying phones, selling them on, and never actually paying the guys he buys from, using one of the myriad of means with which Paypal makes scamming possible.

Don't be made irrational by greed.

As long as OP sends the phone via 'International signed for' then what does he have to worry about? They then have proof of delivery :?

you see thats my way of thinking but as above, they can say anything about how something is wrong with it etc...

As they've said, looks dodgy, don't send!

The service in Italy has loads of problems with items not being delivered properly etc, etc. Signatures not obtained and so on. Some Italian buyers have got wise to this, if online proof of delivery AND the customers signature for over £150 is not available online, the seller will loose a dispute.
Sending by courier can lessen this problem but is quite expensive and people don't factor this in, sellers are targeted by the postal services they offer believe it or not.

im just going to refund now and relist it, pointless because i need the funds asap

Or they can simply claim it as an unauthorised transaction on their card doesnt matter a damn if signature is available, for banks its easier to write it off by doing a chargeback on paypal who in turn will use your money than tracking the "fraud" down:thumbsup:

good call, on refunding and reselling, you are aware that paypal will and can hold payment on high risk items, so chances are the funds on selling this in the uk will still be kept on hold with paypal

make sure you respond to it - leave pos feedback, with an obvious negative comment, and also respond to the feedback given to you - so it appears on your list explaining the problems

as vibeone has already said make sure you respond to the feedback you have received, keep it polite and i wouldnt be leaving them a negative comment, they have done nothing wrong, they bid on an item and paid for an item, how can you leave them nasty feedback, i would be appologising for pulling from the deal
banned#37
Sorry I misread part of the thread.

Personally I would not leave them any feedback then, but do respond to what they've put on yours (not 100% sure how you do this)

Go into the feedback forum which is in the community tab at the top. First option is feedback forum, go in there, and click on the right, reply to fb received. Leave a follow up such as , my apologies cannot ship to Italy. As a buyer I would not be put off and I would know where you are coming from, it's polite and factual.

Thank you Mrs :)
