Paypal are withholding the funds until the buyer receives the item and leaves feedback........they'll then release it to you.

when have they started doing this?
#3
Received means received, they only ever take it back if they tell you first, never "withhold".
Sounds more like a bogus email saying you have funds??????
#4
It's not unusual for new sellers or for high value items to get the funds withheld within paypal when selling on eBay. It's to deter/stop scammers setting up an account and ripping people off.
If it's eBay you will get the funds either when positive feedback has been left or 21 days have passed, whichever is first.

So the transaction shows in your account, but the money isn't there?
I would call them tomorrow and see what they say.

Unless you had a negative balance of £2 to start off with?
#16
if you go into transactions history it will tell you what left/entered your account and when.

So if £2 went in and it's not on your balance go check history.

Surprised no one has advised you to do this instead of guessing.

Thought that would be the most obvious response.

They have paid you via e-cheque. Definately don't send until it's confirmed as cleared as they have a habbit of bouncing.

note- you must send "within 7 days" to be eligible for seller protection
