Paypal limited account question

Confusing, I just heard back from Paypal who told me I have had about 15 transactions in a week and this is suspicious so limited me(with £230 in my account which I cant use)

And they are asking for a copy of passport, a utility bill, to confirm my landline number and for tracking details or all 15 items.

Which all I can do just annoyed as im verified anyway.

Just worried they may muck me around and keep cash. or I will have to refund it to buyers even though I sent items.

Might be due to I had my first ever claim last week due to someone not recieving item which might of triggered it.

I recieved a phone call from a American woman which I never gave any personal details out, and she asked to know where I was getting stock from, I said it was personal belongings I was selling due to flat move and she sounded unconvinced and said she would put a limit on my account, so I logged in and yes im limited until I do as said in my first post.

It says "recent account activity which is high risk or suspicious" or something like that.

This happened to me once, and I had to fax details to Paypal. First of all though, call them up and confirm its all geniune. I had over £1k in my paypal account when they did this to me.

If you want it done cheap, sign up for a free trial of an online fax service and email documents via that. Faxing in the post office or wherever can be pricey.

If you logged in Paypal and you limited there, then you def know any emails you had is not a scam. There should be a fax sheet that you can print off their site or off an email ,can't remember which and that fax sheet as a barcode on,when they scan that, they know the fax is from you.
They will want to see I.D,proof of address such as utility bill and they will want to see proof that you had owned what you are selling on there.Have you been selling anything new? It be the new goods they most interested in,you will need to show them an email of purchase,an invoice in parcel or if bought from a shop they want to see a receipt.
Until you have faxed everything in which will be quicker than actually writing in,then the account will be limited. If you are selling more than 1 of the same item then it arouses suspicion, ideally they don't want anyone on there selling 'Hot' goods so they do these checks from time to time, obviously the wrong people get picked upon at times, and those who are dodgy go free, aswell as loads of people getting ripped off on there each day.

Yeh faxes prob £1 each most places, and you could be back and forth providing info,it does take time.My partner got fax machine at work so was ok for me.

Oh yeh they want them too, that shows to them you not taking payments and not going send items and you doing a runner lol
Yeh it all takes time to do,again this is why its a good idea to send things with some sort of tracking number, you just never know when Paypal are going call.Once you get it all submitted, they should email you to say they received info and are reviwing, once its received tho,it should only take a few days for them to lift restrictions providing they happy with it all.

i don't really have anything of large size that often,I find it quite restricting too waiting in for the courier to arrive, mind you 1 of the DHL vans in the area, now it depends what seller I use on eBay cos they must have different contracts or something, but there 1 driver who used to always come at 2pm,which was handy,I could nip out get to the nursery and then come back wait for him, then it be all done for everyone to be picked up from school and nursery.I do prefer going to post office but the prices are not cheaper enough for heavier things, and I just don't trust buyers with standard parcel service,no signature, you never know if they pulling a fast one.

I agree.

I had a public argument with a Paypal Rep about 2 years ago about this. The info they want is what you need to set a a 'cloned' ID.
Apparently, if you send it by Fax to the number Paypal gave you everything will be OK they guarantee it.

This happened to me a while ago. All i did was email my response and once they received it my account got full status again.
