I normally put funds from my paypal account to my bank account ok, but today something weird happened, i done everything and stil hours later it still says pending ? normally it would come up completed within minutes although the funds wouldnt be in my account for a couple of days later.

I added a new bank account not that long ago, and this is the bank account i am withdrawing too, however all is confirmed and stuff so i dont think this is the problem.

I tryed looking it up and it seems that ebay/paypal may be holding the funds as the funds came from a guitar i sold on ebay.

But wouldnt i be notified if this is the case? Is there a way to check this ?

Im getting a bit worried now that maybe the buyer is trying to reverse payment or something as i have heard some horror stories.

Can anyone shed some light on this please ?

i think paypal hold funds if your a newish seller or if its sold for a high value, they normally hold the funds until the buyer has left you feedback.

I have 13 feedback, have been a member since 06 although didnt start buying/selling till around a year ago. And the item sold for around £270. I managed to pay the ebay fees out of the money that was put into my paypal account by the seller. I now try to withdraw the rest of my funds to my bank account and it didnt work, thats what confused me.

i think it might be because it sold for a lot of money, my friend sold a phone on ebay and the same happened to her, she couldnt transfer the funds till the buyer left feedback, maybe email ebay and ask, i think theres a live chat so you can actually speak to someone but not sure if that will be open at this time

Aww. I will try with the live chat thing.

It will hold it as described above if you don't use paypal that much and the amount is higher than the amounts you have used in the past.

Theres is a trick / knack to release funds when there on hold via PP. I'm not going to disclose it here though but feel free to PM me. I'm sure more ebayers / paypal users will know exactly how awful PP is to use. A horrible company but one that is forced on us if you use ebay.
