Paypal problem.

Ok, bought something from an ebay seller and tried to pay for it this morning. Trouble is the payment comes up as 'unclaimed'. Just been onto the Paypal website to see what the problem is and clicked unclaimed and it pops up a message box that states :

"The funds have been deducted from your PayPal balance. You may cancel this payment by clicking Unclaimed and then Cancel Payment. Please note that all Unclaimed transactions will be cancelled after 30 days."

Er... no actually if you click unclaimed you enter a cycle of this same message box popping up with NO option to cancel the payment. How unprofessional is that?

Anyway, IS there a way to cancel the payment as i'm guessing the seller has the wrong email account on file......

I'd contact the seller through ebay messages, it could just be that their account is one of the ones that chooses to manually accept the payments through paypal :)

Will do. I'll leave it till tomorrow as they have a 'corporate' email address so probably won't get the payment notification email till they get to work tomorrow. It's just irritating that PP say you can cancel the payment when you so obviously can't:roll: Yet more lies;-)

The exact same thing happened to me the other day too.

Also, someone refunded me some money I sent and now its on "Temporary Hold" and has been for just over a week. They say its something to do with PayPal not having the money from my bank but my bank statement shows it was taken on the 6th.

I sent some money to a guy, but he then e-mailed me telling me that was his old e-mail address could he send it to the new one, so i did and that left the first payment unclaimed which it still is. When i tried to cancel it all that happened was a screen would appear simply saying retry. Useless system

I have since e-mailed them but have got no response yet

I am very angry too with paypal at the moment. For some reason they have stopped me paying through instant bank transfer, and instead everything I have bought has had to be paid with an echeque. This is taking about two weels to clear. I have no idea why this has happened, and I am so annoyed. I have emailed them but so far no joy!

This sometimes happens when your registered card is reaching its expiry. Paypal are useless!

I heard that somewhere else, but my card doesn't expire until 2009!!!!

Have you bought a lot of items lately? They also do that sly trick for that reason too.

Thanks, seems to be sorted now. I sent them three eails, no reply to any - charming! In the end I withdrew all my funds from my paypal account, added another bank account and card hoping that this would help. Well it works now so I don't know what happened!!

I had a dispute with ebay once after they wrongly cancelled one of my auctions. Back and forth trying to get a VALID reason for the cancellation and each time they gave a different answer. The last message I had from them had no reply address

When I sold my son's unwanted Wii last month, I had to 'Claim' the money from the buyer.
I can't remember the reason why.

Just realised this was my post

Problem sorted, they told me it was somebody else's account or something
