Yes..

I can't tell you why but yes when you transfer money from your bank account to your Paypal account it does take 7/10 days (probably Paypal keep it for some of that time!!).
Also if you need to refund someone and there is no money in your Paypal account it will refund with an echeque and again takes the money from your bank account but does not arrive in Paypal account for about 7 days.
It all seems a bit unfair - but I do not think there is a way around it.
What I find strange is that if you buy an item and have no funds in your Paypal account it will take payment from your bank account and pay the seller immediately!

I paid for some stuff using Pay Pal last week and it still hasn't been debited from my bank account - is that normal? Will that be 7-10 day's too?:?

oki thx
when i trying to refund it shows me
Review and process refund

Your refund must not exceed your available balance. If you have funds in another currency balance, you may want to consider transferring funds from other currency balances.

and thats it only edit or cancel
NO Issue Refund
very strange ?

Because I have been selling on Ebay for a long time and value my reputation, I would explain the position to my buyer and offer a cheque refund. I always try to leave some money in my Paypal account in case I need to refund but I know that is always not possible. I bet you feel so frustrated and believe me I have been there!!

yes
just withdraw money 2 days ago :(
i made him an offer any way, will refund some money, and still post item just different color then they purchased, hope they go for it :)

I am sure they will go for that. As long as you are always kind and a good seller in every way then you will find that 99% of buyers are resonable. Good luck!

its a direct debit when it comes from your bank account

even tho most banks transfer instantly from few months ago paypal drags its heels.

i am currently in the awkward position of having a seller refund me money for an item he "lost" which was taken from my account and now its on hold for 10 days while the whole process is sorted. dont understand why it just cant be credited to my paypal account

set up a credit card with paypal. everything is instant then.

will it help ?

absolutely as credit cards allow instant credit whereas debit cards take 10 days.

means you will be able to refund immediately and when you purchase on ebay etc, the buyer gets funds instantly rather than an echeque if u dont have any paypal credit

or you can ADD A BANK ACCOUNT to be used to fund paypal. The debit card route is the worst way to go.

you must also confirm your bank account AND verify your pp account

How do I confirm my bank account?

Question : Answer : For security purposes or as part of the Verification process, you may be asked to add a bank account to your PayPal account and confirm ownership of this bank account.

You can confirm your bank account by following these steps:

Log in to your PayPal account at www.paypal.co.uk

Click 'Profile' at the top of the page

Click 'Bank Accounts' in the 'Financial Information' column

Select the bank account you wish to confirm, then click 'Confirm'

Click the ‘Set up Direct Debit’ button

The next page will display your bank details. Enter the full address of your bank account then click ‘Submit’. Please note: If the bank account is a business account or more than one person is required to authorise debits, you must print and sign a paper Direct Debit Instruction and post it to the address provided
PayPal will send two random deposits, between 1p and 99p, to your bank account. These deposits are at PayPal's expense and you'll find them on your online bank statement after three to five business days, or on your next paper statement.

When you know the amounts of the deposits, follow these steps:

Log in to your account at www.paypal.co.uk

Click 'Profile' at the top of the page

Click 'Bank Accounts' in the 'Financial Information' column

Select the bank account you wish to confirm and click 'Confirm'

Enter the two amounts

Click 'Submit'. If the amounts are correct, your bank account will be confirmed
By completing this process you will also set up bank funding which will enable you to add funds from your bank account to your PayPal account, make Instant Transfers and eCheque funded payments.

The bank account confirmation process:

Does not cost you anything

Confirms that you are the owner of this bank account because only you have access to the deposit amounts sent by PayPal

Only has to be completed once per bank account, unless you remove that bank account and re-add it to your PayPal account
My account status is Verified / Unverified – what does this mean?

Question : Answer : Your PayPal account will show as 'Verified' when you have confirmed your identity with us by successfully completing a few simple steps. If your PayPal account is showing as 'Unverified', then you have yet to complete the Verification process.

Becoming ‘Verified’ is necessary to remove limits on sending, receiving and withdrawingmoney from your PayPal account. In addition, because other users will know that you have confirmed your identity with PayPal, it can help to increase trust and confidence – particularly between buyers and sellers.

To maintain the highest possible security, we encourage all PayPal users to confirm their identity by completing PayPal's Verification process. To learn how to get ‘Verified’ click here.
