Paypal really take the biscuit!

This really takes the biscuit!

I sold an item on eBay for £51.00. The buyer sent the money to my PayPal. I was charged the normal PayPal fees to receive the money (amounted to £1.93) I then posted the item out on the 26th November via 1st class signed for post.

The buyer only received the item today (7th December). Royal Mail doing their usual bang up service!

About a week ago the buyer raised a PayPal dispute about not receiving the item. I had already withdrawn the money they paid me to my bank account so PayPal withdrew the £51 off my credit card and held it in their system. As the item was delivered today the buyer closed the dispute and PayPal have returned the money. Minus ANOTHER £1.93 fee!

I am livid about this! This can’t be right? How can I be charged twice for the same amount, especially considering the 2nd time It wasn’t even a transaction between me and the buyer, it was PayPal taking money off my credit card!

To top things off I will need to Pay an additional 50p to them to transfer the funds back because the fee they charged me brings the amount to under £50!

Anyone have any ideas how I should approach this?
