we need more information before we can help...

what version of windows are you running? what hardware specs have you got? has it just started happening all of a sudden? did you install something recently?

I'm a MCSE qualified engineer and in the last week ive had this same issue twice on my 2 kids PCs never had the issue before but 2 in a week after loads of fault finding on the daughter's her Seagate hard drive was broke Ive changed the HDD and its fine then the sons after reinstalling the OS i thought the issue was gone as it was fine for a couple of days but the problems come back and the funny thing is it also has a segate HDD this time i downloaded the seagate diagnostics disc and booted from it and ran a short test which it passed i then ran a long test which it failed so in a week 2 failed seagate drives which is unheard of its very rare for hdd's to fail let alone the same make in the same house in the same week.

You need to establish if the issues with hardware or software check the event viewer under application and system and look for the red error sign next to entries double click the entry with the errors and see if they are the same error relating to the same thing you will find errors for failed drivers under system. Try to remember if you've updated any drivers or has there been any system updates if there has did these issue start before or after the change to the OS try running a system restore this should roll back any changes made to the registry for me to trouble shoot it further would be impossible without seeing it. If the issues are hardware the most common components that cause lockups are either hard drives or memory to test memory download memtest burn it to disc boot from disc and let it run over night check log for failure there are also the same utilities for hard drives the tools are free i hope this helps.

Let me know if i can help you further.

A light is flashing on my car's dashboard, what's wrong with it?

If you want some suggestions as to what's wrong then you need to provide a good account of the problem. What is freezing, is it all programs or only your web browser? If it's your web browser is it only some pages or all? What exactly do you have to do to get it to unfreeze? (reset it? reset what!?) What doesn't work to unfreeze it?
