Boot into safe mode, do a virus sweep & spyware scan, shut down, leave 5 mins & boot up again

do you have you windows disk?

Start windows normally (if possible) then insert your windows disk, click start > run > and type "sfc /scannow" and click OK

This will scan all your important windows files and if any are found to be corrupt it will then replace them.

If this has no effect try a check disk on the C: as the disk may be failing.

Double click on My Computer, then right click on Local Disk (c: ) and select properties, click the Tools tab and then click Check Now, tick the box for fix errors and bad sectors, then click Apply and ok and it will tell you that you need to restart.

Restart the PC and let it run through the disk check making notes of any errors.

Did you change anything on your PC immediately before the message started appearing? There was a problem with PSAPI.DLL getting corrupted during the Beta test of IE7.

What system are you running and is your virus software/ anti-spyware software up to date?

Hi there,

If you type both of those dll files into HERE you can download them for free. I'd suggest doing this and then putting them both in the correct folders. that should stop the messages!

Hope this helps
