hi does anybody in this forum own a pedigree pussy cat,if so i just want to ask a couple of questions if you dont mind
im thinking about buying the kids and myself a british blue shorthair and i just want to know do they have the same tempement as your usual domestic moggy?
do they cost more to insure?
would it be ok to let it out of a night or whenever?
do you think somebody would try to steal it to try and sell it?
i have had a browes of a couple of sites but they dont reallyanswer my questions properly
thanks in advace

British blues great cat and very loving.
Theft of cats is a problem thats why I would advocate chipping. Might be an idea to find a local breeder and see one in the home , also check the local rspca and ask about missing cats etc, to put your mind at rest.
But spare a thought for those stray and abandoned cats I had 4 from them my last boy died in june he was 19 and they brought me years of fun , what about getting your blue a play mate ?
good hunting

thanks for that advice,i know how you feel about abandoned cats ,i had 13 long loving years with my boy pudding until some ****** poisoned him:cry:,at least i found him took him home and my dad buried him,one of the reasons i will admit i want a pedigree is that i feel no other domestic cat could live up to pudding and i also feel guilty like im trying to replace him so thought i would try a differant breed, sorry for rambling:oops:

you might find at a sanctuary that a cat will find YOU .. happened with one of my rescue chaps.. Dennis liked the look of me and bingo, he gave me 18yrs of fun but if you love cats there will be one or two out there for you.. I know when I am ready to open the doors again the right one will find its way here :-D
