hi, i used one when they first came out, they say if you do10,000 steps per day and eat a healthy diet then there is no need to use a gym, although i did find it hard to do 10,000 per day, unless i went for long walks after work. it does not count more if you walk faster, it only counts the steps you take.
differing opionions out there. some say to get any benefit from walking then it must be done briskly to get the heart rate up.
