don't get me started on "chav". It's been said properly in the north east for decades as "charvs" then some sotherner hears it 5-10 years ago and decides to change it to "chav". People annoy me!!!!

say NHS aloud and listen when you say H. I say aitch :D

Let's keep the hating to a minimum in this thread and agree that everyone has their things that irritate them about the way others speak, write or do whatever with the English language. Things have become plain nasty in the other one!

I used to have a teacher who pronounced it as 'haych'. I had him sacked, albeit for unrelated reasons.
