Phone unlocking question

Just bought a phone thats on the 3 network (E71) , I'm not a 3 customer (who would be!) but will they unlock it for me if I call them and pay the fee?

Trying to avoid a trip into town and want it doing asap so this would be easiest.

Anyone know?

    The only way they'll unlock it would for you to get a 3 payg sim, top it up with the required amount (15 or 20 quid I think) and they'll get you the unlock code.

    They'll have to get it from Nokia, so it takes a while. I had an N86 unlocked and it took 8 days for the code to come through. That was a week or so back. . .
