Im due an upgrade, I havent had a new phone for 2 years as I have been keeping my monthly bill low, but now I fancy a new phone, but still want to keep my payments low. Has anyone any tips to get the best of both, new phone and low bill?

also which phone!? I wanted a Blackberry, some one said the torch was good, but I think that would bump my bill up quite a bit.

Im with Vodafone if any one can help me get a good deal!

Its Vodafone (has to stay that way as dont want to lose my number and its the only one with signal here)

Not sure what it is, think its unlimited texts and 600 mins for £25 or something, but not sure!

Hmm as an existing customer phone up and tell them you want the Torch, if you have been paying £25 for 2 years theres a decent chance it won't change much to get the Torch, maybe a small price for the handset...

Try to talk to retentions (the people who you deal with when you choose the options to 'leave' the network. Just say you have been looking around for deals etc but would like to stay. They can work things out. Can prob get lower than £25 for a decent phone!

Just had to deal with retentions to get my X10 a couple months ago.
When you call them their retentions dept are useless and wont offer anything else any better.
I had to cancel and request the PUK code and they got in contact within a couple days with something decent.
Its only their outbound retentions that can do decent offers, calling in to them will only get the same offer your on if not an even worse offer than the now.

I called them initially and they offered me the same contract i was on and tried to charge me for the phone, when buying it online was free lol
Told them to stuff it, cancelled and when htey called they chopped a chunk off line rental and free X10

Dial-a-phone are doing a BB 9300 500min, unlimited text and 500mb internet on £25pm on 24 month contract with £175 auto cashback. So that works out at £17.71 a month or only £15.63 if the £50 quidco goes through. :)
