I bought a multi function Epson printer which included the kit to scan films, I didnt fancy paying out for a seperate scanner so this has made a good compromise....
Its an RX520, probably superceeded by now but it works really well...

Buy a cheap negative scanner . I bought mine from Jessop's year's ago .It scanned positives ,negatives and slides , made a pretty good job of them . But ,sadly it was only for windows 98/ME ,no drivers for XP. and I haven't used it for years . I need it now too ,have some negs to scan , so, I'm going to put 98 onto an old PC just so I can use it again .Have a look at the Jessop's site to see what they have.

Most HP scanners come with a little insert that you can put Neg's into and it will scan them in
I bought a neg/slide scanner.
It cost £45 delivered and is great!
Think i got it from Play.com.
