Has anyone ever done it?

Is it possible to teach yourself?

Would you recommend?

Basically I'm 16 and at sixth form, and I've developed a passion for photography. Now my sixth form doesn't run the A level but i was thinking of self teaching and doing the A level. If possible could you answer the questions above,

Check the A Level in Art and Design at your college, you might find that its a module that is offered as small part (or even large portion) of that A Level.
I did A level Art at college, wasn't too good in the first year (im no good at sketching/painting) but in the second year i discovered the photography aspect of the course and picked it up very easily... And really enjoyed it.

I did A Level Photography but that was 10 years ago so my memory is a bit shot. I would say you could do it yourself though. As far as I remember it was fairly basic, just the actual way to use your camera to get good lighting and a bit of the history of photography. I got a B with very little work or skill.
