What happened to pioneer they don't make there tvs anymore

looks like they didnt invest in lcd, stuck with plasma till that came to an end, then stopped

Philips is working themselves out of the market, an indian company Videocon, i think now makes them for phillips
that company also owns electrolux and kelvinator

cheers! as ever these big companies are more complicated than i knew!

we got told it was because they simply priced themselves out of the TV market in the recession and decided to concentrate on high quality audio and PC components such as DVD and Blu ray drives.

Whereas Panasonic, LG and Samsung remain committed to improving and continued production of plasma screens
