Seen it on Friday, best one of the lot :)

Opens the plot for another one though............
#4
Seen it loved it agree Chris it does leave it open for a 4th
#5
i've got to watch the first two still :$
#6
Well wish I would have known that before I went home with popcorn stuck all over me. Good film saw it Friday sadly there wont be a 4th.
#7
Awwww - what was at the end of the credits ??
#8
Have seen the first 2 but thought the 2nd one was awful. Completely put me off seeing the 3rd. 2nd one went on for ages, and it just all seemed very pointless.
#9
2nd one was not as good granted but the 3rd movie really makes up for it!

Scooby Doo beats all of them to be fair :giggle:
#12
Shrek beats Scooby Doo, sorry! xD

went to see it, and as it was a break from revising for finals, I enjoyed it as I didn't have my head stuck in a textbook.

however IMHO it wasn't as good as 1 or 2, and did drag on a little. i expected depp to be a bit more hilarious (like 1 and 2) than he actually was, and the storyline was reminiscent of the "lets make up extra stuff and throw it in" that was the Matrix trilogy.

i did enjoy it, don't get me wrong, but have seen much better films!

1,3,2 in my opinion.

I thought the 1st Pirates film was very good, but the 2nd one bored me to tears. I couldn't wait for it to finish.
The generally average/poor reviews I've read for the 3rd film hasn't restored my confiedence so I won't be forking out £6 to watch it at the cinema.

It hasn't been a very good year for summer blockbusters so far.

Spiderman 3 was ok (ish) but was definately the worst of the trilogy.

Not seen Shrek 3 but it's getting poor reviews ( two stars in EMPIRE magazine for example - the other films both got 4 stars ) and everyone says it's the worst Shrek film.
Apparently it's fine for the kiddies, but there's no decent jokes for the grown-ups (unlike the first 2 films).

Here's hoping that Die Hard 4 & The Bourne Ultimatum can turn things around.
Looking forward to these two, and hope they live up to expectation (unlike the films mentioned above).

Just my opinion of course :)

Everyone has a bit tagged on the end after the credits
#17
saw it opening night. loved it. I'm a bit fan of the first two and I felt the third was very disjointed and it seemed the characters and their personal stories had less interaction with other characters in this film. certain aspects I thought were pointless and just "filler"....Calypso?! could have been a good storyline. as for a further film, I think there's scope for it, I think Disney will milk it till it's dry and Depp has already said he loved playing Jack so much he'd gladly return for 3 more.

The second movie was just the dog becoming King of the Cannibals, at least this was one was a bit more relevant & related to Elizabeths / Will's future (X-Men 3 still has best bit tagged on end). Also really liked Captain Jacks Dad - very cool.

What did you think of the trailer for the Live Action Transformers Movie ? - all the kids in the cinema got really excited at that & it looked pretty decent

I thought the beginning of Action Transformers looked good, then it reminded me of power rangers (If thats the trailer im thinking of?)

Pirates 3 much better than 2 so 1.3.2

Ooohh! I'd forgotten about Transformers. Early reviews from US screenings say it's very entertaining.

It's definatley been a poor blockbuster season so far, but hopefully Transformers, Bourne Ultimatum & Die Hard 4 can turn things around (crosses fingers)...

:?

Well, it certainly isn't real...

And if you mean 'Far fetched', I'd say it looks a hell of a lot better then most Live Action from Cartoon switches...

Looking forward to it meself.

I just think Bourne 3 will be disappointing but Die Hard 4 looks like it will hold the crowd.A very poor season for me as there is always something that you feel like you can watch again but not so far.Have just seen (cough) Hostel 2 (cough) and another poor film.

The workprint at a guess...

Got it, but undecided as to whether I waste 90 minutes on it.

Yep thats the one, its all over the net.
I didn't like the 1st one much as i thought it took to long to get going.
The 2nd just does the 1st all over but with less gore. The ending is probably the best bit.
#29
The 3rd Bourne film is directed by Paul Greengrass, the same bloke that directed the 2nd one.

He hasn't made a bad film yet (he made United 93 & Bloody Sunday - both excellent and very gritty films).
Only problem I had with Bourne 2 was the constant "shaky" camera work during the action scenes. Made it hard to see what was going on sometimes.

Still, I thought it was better than the first Bourne film overall & I'm looking forward to Bourne 3 (looks good from the trailer).

I have no intention of downloading it from the net.
Summer blockbusters need to be seen on the big screen to fully appreciate them.
