We are willing to travel, but just wondered if any of you scots can recommend a great place to take 4 kids! Mc D's in motherwell is an option but just looking for alternatives.

Any help appreciated cheers

thank you very much. Louden is a bit expensive but we are just talking about the other 2 options. Thank you very much, its a lovely day here and we will probably take a packed lunch.
you should go to blair drummond early so the lions have just been fed and are walking about

The road out of Irvine is probably your best bet- but them you'll only end up in Kilmarnock... Jeez.... what a choice.
Bear in mind that Irvine has the Magnum Centre with ice skating, swimming etc. Also, Largs is along the road isnt it? They've got the Vikingar centre and Kelburn castle is along there too. There are plenty of "kids go free" vouchers doing the rounds for Kelburn. You could also pop along to Weymss Bay and or Largs and catch a ferry to one of the Islands- like Cumbrae or something.

Also, Prestiwck has a pretty big soft play area, down on the promenade.
thank you everyone, we ended up at culzean castle yesterday and ayr today on the beach front. I'm on the mobile at the moment but will rep you all when I get home x
