Play.com dirty tactics

Was searching on Play.com for a specific book (http://www.play.com/Books/Books/4-/395901/Introduction-to-Project-Finance/Product.html), and when I went to the product page the item was stated as available for £0!!

I got really excited, added to shopping basket, and the shopping basket still said £0 delivered. However, after clicking checkout, the price reverted back to the original £23.99.

Could this be play.com using a dirty tactic to fool price comparison websites or get customers to unwittingly buy at a higher price, as some customers might not double check the price?

Could be a browser problem. I get strange figures from my online bank statements when they first load, which is fixed when I refresh the page. Try a refresh.

In any case, don't blame Play.com. It is pretty obvious that a price of zero for anything is incorrect. You would have to be pretty silly to think otherwise, and play.com would have to be very silly indeed to think that they could fool anyone this way. They are a good honest retailer.

I've used play.com for numerous purchases and always found them to be good and excellent delivery times too.

Great bunch of people..maybe just a bug.

Probably.
The page I clicked from was Bookkoob.com, where they indexed the price as being £0 from play.com, so that could be the bug.
I really do like play.com, they're probably one of my favorite online retailers for ease of use, price (most of the time), and speed of delivery.

Well, anythings possible  I wasn't expecting to get it for free, but got quite excited when after I added it to the shopping basket the basket still said £0! But alas, the next page before payment showed the right price
