Play.com dispatch times

What are they playing at!

Play.com have always been quick to dispatch items to my home address (usually same day), but now I have moved to university, the orders are not being dispatched. I ordered 2 items both in stock and usually dispatched within 24 hours. I gave up after still waiting for the first to be dispatched after a week and I have been waiting for 4 days so far for this item to be dispatched.

Other websites are delivering to my university address fine and payment is OK. Does anyone else have a problem with this or know what the reason could be?

I'm losing faith in them now...

Have they sent you an e-mail saying to contact them as your account is suspended or something?

It is not Play at fault here, it is Royal Mail. It usually takes 4 - 5 days for Royal Mail to deliver packages from Play.

Thanks for your help but the only emails I have received from them are ones to acknowledge the orders.

Have you tried phoning them to see what's happening? Only other thing to do is order something and get it sent home and see if that gets sent out.

it moight not be much help, but i prdered something on monday and it came yesterday?

i,ve ordered with them quite often, its kind of hit n miss with them at times, sometimes i get them within 2 days, other times it can take up to 7 days,

Ordered two items on Monday evening and it got deliverd today.

I've had this issue before too, which was delayed for an entire week with no customer service skills when we ordered him a memory card while he was on holiday in Scotland but a week later, we received an email that the order hadn't been fulfilled but processed it quickly after the call.

It's a shame he received the card on one of the last days of his holiday, so he couldn't take many pics on his new phone.

Play.coms customer service is normally quite good, so give them a call and I'm sure they'll resolve the reason behind the delayed dispatch, as a week to dispatch an instock item is too slow.
