omg im so fed up with play.com sending out incorrect orders, i mean sure they pay for the returns postage but its just a pain having to return them all the time.
What are you experiences with play.com?

Never had a problem personally and I use them fairly regularly. I haven't needed to return anything though....

Yep never had an issue, from games, DS console and TV etc.

Always been good, (just wood).

I've had one wrong item sent to me, but thats it so far!

No complaints here tho! :thumbsup:

I had a wrong item arrive once, i posted the item back and they sent the correct item as soon as i called then refunded the return postage the same day it arrived back with them.

i've had great service and staff on the phones are always nice

Been using them for years, and never had a problem with my orders.

I did have a reason to phone them up before Christmas to cancel an order as it wasn't going to arrive on time, and the customer service was absolutely fantastic.

I had an issue with them over an external hard drive in that they dropped the price while my order from a week before was "awaiting stock", and despite not dispatching my order until a couple of days after the price reduction wouldn't honour the new price (£50 less). In case you're wondering I did try to cancel via the website but was unable, and customer services - who were very nice - basically told me tough luck (they moved the item to dispatched while I was on the 'phone to them).

Of course I could've returned the item as faulty but would've had to have paid the return postage if if wasn't (which it wasn't) and being very heavy would've probably cost a fortune to do so. In the end I didn't consider it worth the time and effort involved to return it and kept it.

You may think this perfectly fair but it left me feeling miffled so haven't ordered anything from them for over a year now. I wouldn't say I'd never order anything from them again but for me it would have to be a very good offer.....

They don't like giving out refunds. I've has 2 items which were faulty and it took them weeks and a few phone calls to issue me with a refund...

That's the chances everyone takes when it comes to computer equipment, RAM went through a volitile price changing a while back and for work I have to get quotes daily for CISCO switches because they are dominated by the strength of the dollar. May be annoying but you can be rest assured that what you buy this month will go down the next, in the IT consumer market.

Ive placed loads of orders with them and apart from a couple of cancelled misprice orders, never had a problem. Items always turn up in good condition and on time. Even had a couple of wiis from them before xmas

same thing happened to me, i phoned up and theu guy just said the prices sometimes goes up and sometimes goes down.
He's right though because shortly after i purchased a hoodie at £17.99

which went back up to £39.99 the day after.

Luck of the draw i guess

Allways order from them, love the place never had any trouble.

Used about 20 times and not one prob. Sometimes there is a delay in the delivery but other than that they've been all good.

I bought a Quicksilver watche off their website a couple of months ago, it arrived with the case damaged, I arranged for a replacement straight away, I returned the one received, all done within a couple of days!

Not really had any problems other than that! :roll:

My friend bought a play
+charge kit a month ago but they sent him a black one so he emaield them and within two days they sent him a white one!
They asked for the other one back but still sent the white one but he still has the black one..
Does he still need to send it back you reckon?

I would assume that if he doesn't then they'll charge him for the second, however I could be wrong.

Ofcourse they will charge him if they don't have proof he sent item.

Great selection of stuff and delivery included on everything, they should have an email for enquiries though :?

As with most people I've used Play quite a bit, they've only got one order wrong when they sent me an incorrect 360 game. To be honest I was disappointed in the returns procedure, given it was their fault entirely I would have expected them to send out the correct game with return packaging for the incorrect game to be sent back in. However I had to return the game paying P&P, wait for them to receive it and then wait for the correct game to be sent out which took a couple of weeks overall.

As it's only happened the once it's not put me off using Play at all although if it was happening frequently I would be using another company.
