Here's a few search results I found for you via Google UK but check out the quote below.

What size USB storage device does the Xbox 360 support?
The Xbox 360 will support as big of a storage device as you can format using FAT32. Unfortunately when formatting a device in Windows Vista or Windows XP you will be restricted to a maximum FAT32 size of 32GB. You can work around this limitation by using a 3rd party utility or using an alternative Operating System that does not have this restriction. Please note that the maximum size of any single file on FAT32 is 4GB.

If your laptop has a hdmi output and you have a hd tv you simply buy a hdmi to hdmi lead for a couple of quid and connect the two.
plug into both and then reboot your laptop should pick up the connection and then you can watch on the tv what is on laptop screen, works for watching bbciplayer programs as well.

The 2 ways of getting it to play on your 360 that I know of.

1. Just plug it in to the USB with normal FAT32 you can only have partitions of 32Gb but there are ways to partition a drive to have a lot bigger sizes.

2. Plug the drive into your PC and go to Windows Media Player and (with your 360 turned on and trying to look for your PC) and allow the 360 to e looked at by the 360. Then you need to add the Hard Drive to the libary list on Windows Media player. Now you can play anything on the Hard Drive on the 360 just by going to the PC to play media files.

Hope that helps

You could just burn a data cd and play it on the xbox, it only takes around 3-5 mins.

To stream movies, open Windows Media Player, click on the LIBRARY drop down list and select Media Sharing. Click ALLOW when the 360 comes up in the list then OK.

Then go to LIBRARY drop down list again and select MORE OPTIONS...in this menu select LIBRARY and then MONITOR FOLDERS. Then ADD all the files/folders you want, then hit OK.

The PC will now configure the files to be played (takes quite a while depending on how many files saved/selected). After this is all done best to restart oth machines and then when this is done, go to VIDEO LIBRARY on the 360, select your PC and then it should show all the files/folders you selected on the PC

format an external drive with 'macdrive' if you wanna overcome the 4gb file limit..that way you can play hd-wmv movies of any size straight off the external hooked up to the 360
