Playing Laptop on TV

anybody know how to do this? ive bought two different types of cable and also a wre for audio, cant remember their names, and selected "PC" on TV but got no picture, however the audio cable works fine so i can hear my video through the teles speakers.

As shown i know nothing about this so its a long shot but any help is appreciated

Try pressing the fn (function button) & f5 (different on different laptops, its the fn button with a pic of a tv screen on it)
It also depends on whether you laptops graphics card is up to the job, also what connections are you using?
gointo ur graphics card options and choose clone onto tv :)
also make sure ur tv is on the correct av/source setting :)
thanks for help sorry i couldnt reply earlier, so today i've tried the function and F3 as it is for me and while this does change on my laptop the tele continues to say "PC not available" it is on the right AV/source. I cant find an option for clone to TV but assume it is the same as clone to monitor? wich also did nothing, Graphics card info is:

I have also just tried the other cable which i dont know what it is called just has two ends each with about 15 pins and a blue port, used the clone thing and it said on screen out of range ( on TV) any more help is very grateful
