08447360595 mate this is the new number. Its recently been changed. I had exactly the same problem a couple of weeks ago - they gave me the option of getting a refurbished 60gb PS3 for 130£.

Out of curiosity which PS3 do you have?

I hope you have the receipt or else this could end up costly! They are not as good a sthe guys at microsoft, which is strange!!

You contact the retailer you purchased it from in the 1st instance.

yep they should be able to arrange a repair from their store.
if you prefer to have it picked up from home, you could ring the number yourself
