Playstation eye - has anyone got same problem? Blue colour replacement

I posted this on the playstation forums but just wondering if anyone else has the same issue.

It seems certain fabrics such as wood, speaker cover (the one that acts as a protector too) and my shorts come up as bright blue. Colour is washed out for the rest but it is obvious it is the same area in the colour chart.

[Pictures to follow to show what I mean]

Sony said on phone to me its how it reacts with different materials but on a US post the problem went away for a guy who went on his third try after getting the same problem on his second.

Taken with my laptop webcam. Purposefully chose it as it won't have a huge resolution as its inbuilt in.

Above is taken of my TV screen using the digital camera. Clearly showing my shorts as bright blue instead of black

Hi dude and for anyone else having the problem. Send it back! I sent it back to Tesco homeplus, same issue on second one. So asked for refund - went to asda and it was fixed. Obviously Sony will say 'light issue' but it is indeed missing the IR filter for some reason on some batches. May be worth going ASDA if you can?
