"He has spent most of the day in tears," she said.

"He says it's been his worst Christmas ever.

"I think Xbox should compensate us all."

Somehow I don't think she would be happy with 24hrs of xbox live compensation.

Yes, Xbox LIVE is available again; albeit a tad slow.

I am still only 5% through the 2.1GB update for "Titanfall" (since the last time I played a few months ago), though :(

PlayStation Network is back online too.

Really a ten year old in tears saying its the worst Christmas ever, well my 4 year old had a little cry for a couple of mins because he wanted to play the crew and then went back to lego city undercover and watching pop, he said Christmas was great and he loves all his presents. that ten year old needs to grow up, or should I say 22 year old pulling a sob story in hopes of compensation, which is far more likely.

Your four year old missing playing "The Crew" is probably for his benefit anyway.

he loves cars, real ones not made up cutesy things, hence he'd rather play gran tourismo and has done since age 2, then things like mario kart

"Gran Turismo" is a far better simulation-based franchise than the (currently, thankfully) single outing of "The Crew"; somewhat spoiled by Ubisoft's ropey driving mechanics (seemingly taken straight from "WATCH_DOGS").

If you have not done so already, try "SHIFT 2: Unleashed" as well.

I've been playing Far Cry 4 offline all morning, but it's bad for those that can't set up their new consoles.

Having read a few guides this morning, I understand that DDoS attacks are more or less unpreventable.

And this children, is the true meaning of Christmas. What were you hoping for? Losing a family member to a freak accident? Contracting Ebola maybe?

Have a game of Monopoly,Trivial Pursuit or snakes and ladders :D

Proper games that have stood the test of time with the added bonus that they dont cost £300 quid, cant be hacked and are fully portable.
