Hi my 2 children are wanting giutars for christmas
My 13 yr old lad wants a electric one,and my 10 yr old girl wants a acustic one.
ive been looking around but am really unsure whats good and whats not.
With my girl it is not a big thing really she just fancys one so i thought this one would suit as shes into this what do you reckon

And for the lad i have been looking on amazon, argos, few others an they all do deals on electric guitars an amp
but whats a good make to go for,he wants to try an learn it so i would like a decent enough one maximum budget is about £120 with a amp.
can anyone recommend anywhere to buy them or even a brand to look for
my wife likes this one but only because of the design but there out of stock anyway

Always be weary of buying expensive instruments for children (most don't stick with it) and might be better to get a cheapish one and see if they stick with it. Then you can upgrade if needed.

yamaha make good entry level guitars.
try this http://www.amazon.co.uk/Yamaha-Pacifica012RM-PP-Electric-guitar-metallic/dp/B000KLJW4O/ref=pd_cp_ce_0?pf_rd_p=136153791&pf_rd_s=center-41&pf_rd_t=201&pf_rd_i=B000I1V5PA&pf_rd_m=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE&pf_rd_r=19JFVHAS908GRS9PRQDF

its £22 above your price ;) and come with lots of extras

when i bought my first guitar i was told to go for the best one i could afford, and was reccomended the yamaha pacifica from a session guitarist with over 40 yrs experience
then if he loves it it will do him for a few years and if he ends up hating it then you or your wife have a new hobby :)

Can't go wrong with the Yam! On elec. and acoust. If you buy carp, it won't get used, and re-sell will be hard, buy a Yam or 2 and always get at least half your cash back on any day.

Cheers everyone i thought about spending roughly £50-£60 but i was warned the parts are cheap and they dont stay tuned, etc etc
How is the asda one is it any good because it may be best i suppose getting a cheaper set to see if he sticks with it ,and then get one of the yamaha's
