Please can someone advise me about AV sender?

I have found the one I think will do the job, please can someone confirm? (link below)

I have a Sky+ box downstairs, but want to watch it in the bedroom too.

Will this kit allow me to watch it on the bedroom TV with no wires? Do I just take the Sky remote upstairs with me and then I can change the channels from my bedroom (or does the kit come with a remote that I have to use)? And how do I connect the kit to my Sky box?

Would really appreciate any advice as I am off out soon and was going to pick this up!

Thanks

it will connect to the sky box via a scart socket and yes you will need to take a remote upstairs. i had one of these once, (not the exact one) and it wasnt very good, cant you just send a lenght of coax upstairs from the second outlet on the sky box

these AV senders tend not to work if you have wireless broadband too as the occupy rougly the same frequency.

What wasn't good about it? You don't get a good picture?
Can't run a wire upstairs because our rabbit loves them too much!

Aah, we do have wireless broadband, that will scramble the signal or something, will it?

interference from the microwave oven and as others have mentioned, the wireless internet

This is the one I have, works perfectly and the sender is actually sitting right next door to my wireless modem. Perfect picture, no problems at all.

that just changes the channel, doesnt actually send a signal and it runs through the RF, so you still need a wire - i just mentioned that as this sounds like the "mose type thing used to change channels" earlier.

I'd always go for running a cable tbh, but logistically that may not work for you internally, what about running it externally of your house so your rabbit cant eat it.

my cable runs from out of the sky box, out through the hole the sky cable comes in, and back in upstairs through the wall ( but you can use the window frame).

in my old gaffe, the TV and sky box was directly below our bedroom, so I just rand mine up in the corner of the wall and through the ceiling, just painted the cable to match the decor of the living room.

This time however I opted for sky multiroom, trust me to leave it to a couple of scouse *****s who drilled from the outside in made a complete mess of the internal wall where the bit penetrated and took massive chunk of plaster out, but also rather than it being nice and neat in an inconspicuous corner, oh nooooo it came through at waist hight about 1m in from the edge. had to rearrange all the furniture just to hide such a monstrosity of the job! needless to say I did get 6 months sky viewing free for the fuss I kicked up.
