If you have a vested interest in the case as a witness or something then it might be worth contacting the CPS ( Crown Prosecution Service) with your concerns.

Jesus thats a bloody horrible story but listen to above advice, even if they can't help they can maybe advise you where to go.

i was a witness, but i feel really silly contacting them as i suppose its not really a major worry as 2 y im wondering! im not scared or anything, my councillor advised me back then to write to him and he actually rang me but at the time i was 15 and it kinda thru me, i think it was seeing that there were reports that the boy that killed that headmaster had been released kinda brought it all back and as i hadnt heard anything i was jus wondering if they still had to inform me at all!!!
thank u all for your help though! x

i was a witness to a murder myself and i was not informed when the lad was released,i was not happy when i came face to face with this person in our local video rental shop i dont think he recognised me as i gave evidence by video link after that i was besides myself worrying about the consequences especially as they were a well known family that we moved area to put my mind at rest
thats an awful tradgedy you have witnessed and i hope time has helped you heal :)

the boy that was killed had a very special place in my heart for numerous reasons, i think thats what made it harder, it will never heal because 2 have witnessed it has placed tht as my last memory of him but u learn to carry on and cope! it helps when ppl have kind things 2 say and talking bout it helps!

for me it was just a stranger that i saw "happy slapped"
he was just punched once and fell straight down onto the pavement hitting his head hard
i was driving and pulled over and stayed with him till help arrived he died about a week later
i think the lad that did it served a year he was only 17 or 18 i trully hope he regrets what he did,he has to live with himself for it
i think about the victim less often now than i used to,obviously its much worse for u as u were close to the victim
i hope u are able to find out either way if the man in question has been released or not

thats terrible, that poor man, was possibly someones dad etc ppl jus dnt think about the consequences, what they thought was a bit of fun although i dnt think so could have hd major ramifications for other ppl. and they did it all for a bit of glory, a year was no where near enough, he took someones life whether he meant 2 or not!

i unerstand what ur saying i think if had been a random person frm my school then i dnt think the recovery for me would have been so bad but when i pas the school and tht i cnt help but remember it but its cool i dnt have issues or anything lol although my OH might say diff LOL like i said i think it was just reading reports tht sugested tht the boy who killed the headmaster had been released just brought it all back!
