Please help, runaway rabbit

We got a new baby rabbit on Saturday, and yesterday had her locked into the children playhouse while I building finished the new bunny run, and when I checked the playhouse she had escaped (should have called her Houdini) she must have jumped through one of the windows. She is still very small and a lovely brown undergrowth and tree trunk colour. Our garden has a very deep and thick set of brambles and weeds ( 8foot deep) running along the exterior wall ( prevents people climbing into the garden),
My question is how can we catch her? Any suggestions? To be honest I can't even see her, I keep thinking I have spotted her to discover its only a branch. I am wishing I had put a bright collar on her with a huge great big bell, not to mention a great big chain,
The kids are all devastated. Please does anyone have any bright ideas?

I'd say you'd need to act fast as runaway rabbits tend to attract big dogs..

We already have a dog and he wont allow other dogs into his garden, but I am worried that if our dog is locked up others may get in.

dandelion leaves are delicious to rabbitts- make a pile of em and see if she will succumb to the smell- dont leave rabbit food out cus it might attract rats etc.

yeah you must try and catch her before it gets dark.

I don't think she will come looking for food - it's all around her!

Do you think she might have escaped out of the garden already? Try and at least catch a glimpse of her so you know she's still in the garden.

From past experience, if it's a young rabbit it will be scared & will hide away & not want to come out. The best thing to do is to organise the family into a search party & search the garden methodically, a bit at a time.

If you can, get in between the wall & the brambles & make some noise to try & flush the rabbit out.

Whenever our rabbit escaped she went straight to ground, so we always knew that she hadn't gone far, but like I said rabbits will hide if scared, so we still had to search for her.

She has been seen in the garden so its odds on shes in there but like you say she will definitely be in hiding, our garden is sorta big with loads of really good dark spaces for a tiny rabbit to hide. We have tried flushing her out of the brambles but no luck so far have put some carrot and dandelion in her cage and am hoping she'll see them and jump back in while the garden is quiet. The other rabbit is much tamer and would just come back if we called her, although in fairness, she wouldnt have run away in the first place, she hates grass and mud so if she had escaped she would've just run back into the house, (probably falling asleep on the sofa). But this one is so young and we only just picked her up so havent had any time to train her yet.

Hi,, No luck at all, have now absloutely destroyed our garden looking for her, with no sign at all. I begin to wonder if she has either escaped our garden or if someone has seen her and taken her. But I am certain she is no longer in the garden. The kids are all really upset.

No there no way she would know her name yet, and we dont have any neighbours to ask, there is a couple of business and nightclubs but no one else living nearby , I have contacted the police station just in case anyone happens across her but I don't really have much hope, there is a busy road almost as soon as you step outside our garden so its unlikely she would make it across.

Thanks everyone for trying to help us though.
