please tell me any diets that make you lose weight quick. i have tried the porridge diet before anyone know anything that has worked for them.

try asking your doctor for reductil. :) x
or just smaller portion. lotsa fruit n veg and excersice.
i used to walk for an hour and half each day and just didnt eat any crisps or chocolate ect. great way to loose weight without having all the side-effects of tablets. :)

my sister losts loads on some diet she was on, dont know which one it was but i remember she had green days where she couldnt eat meat and red days where she could, it sounded like hard work to me to work out what you could eat but i do know you are supposed to eat regular, not like one meal per day

yeah mother in laws on that diet well has been on and off it for years when i first met her she was a size 26 and 10 years later she is still a size 26.

This sounds like slimming worl or what ever they are called.

Just try cutting out the rubbish, i have lost 9lbs in just over a week.

i'd keep away from the fad diets like 'porridge diet, grapefruit diet' They do nothing in the long term. I can recommend Slimming World, not a diet as such more about changing your lifestyle. I eat loads everyday and I've lost 3 1/2 stone on it and feel amazing for it!

One of my friends is on tablets from her docs and some of the side effects she is getting are awful (not saying all tablets are like this though)

sassie that sounds like Slimming World, its super easy once you get your head around it, a new plan has just come out called 'extra easy' where Green/Red days are now mixed.

yep thats my sister, they lose the weight, come off the diet eat normally and back it goes, diets are fads, you have to change the way of eating forever, apparently if you lose lots per week it goes back on easier, better to lose very little each week and it stays off, but wtf does this fat ****** know :w00t:

Lawrence Llewellyn Bowins wife was on GMTV this morning when i was getting the kids sortrd for school-she had lost something like 3 stone on the 'Lighter life' diet-she looked great! Think its dear tho'.

Wish i had the willpower to do it!

There should be a new law, if you get too fat, every citizen has the right to take arms (a harpoon preferably) and shoot the fatties!!!

well i did the porridge one for 2 weeks last year and lost 10lbs and i didnt go back on straight away only after me pigging out it went on. so i know that works but porridge 3 times per day for 2 weeks is so boring.

this is the prob, i canna eat in the morning, it makes me wanna puke (although that may help in weightloss) never really done luch, so have tea about 5 ish, although tend to get the muchies then cause body thinks that was my breakfast - lol

i have heard that in a morning have hot water with lemon in it is to refresh you and cleanse your body.

Yep quite agree there. The most simplest way!
Avoid c r a p and don't eat until you're full. Eat slowly, chew and taste each mouthful... and of course EXCERCISE!!!! I started my diet 6 days ago. I'm normally terrible at dieting but have been doing as above and playing on wii fit for 30 mins a day and have lost 3lb.
I've cut out eating after 6.30pm and if I get hungry I just have a cuppa or if I'm really hungry then a low fat cupa soup.
So basically, just avoid c r a p, eat more healthily and exercise. That's it!! We all know that anyway.

Actually a bad way to lose weight, once your body realises you are starving it ,it will do everything it can to hold onto calories in 'starvation mode'.

Best way to lose weight is to simply eat less do more exercise and be patient as there is no quick fix, to do it properly and to make sure the weight will stay off requires a change of habits...not a course of pills that make you shed water out ya ass :thumbsup:

Ok it's illegal, but a daily dose of speed will have you shedding pounds.

When I lived in Spain, you could get it in a prescription form from the chemists. A woman I worked with lost about 3 stone in 2 months. Admittedly, it's probably really bad for you (and she was a really grumpy beeeatch while she was on it) but it really worked!!! :thumbsup:

Starving yourself or missing meals is the worst thing you can do as your body thinks it's not getting anything and stores fat. When you start to eat properly again you put on more weight. Something like that anyway lol. I've read this a few times.

Yes, that's what I mean. That's right. DONT eat until you're full. Stop before you start to get that full up feeling.

Weight is generally put on over a long period of time, months or even years.

Losing it quickly is unhealthy and potentially lethal (remember Karen Carpenter died because the strain she put on her heart from all her strict dieting).

The ONLY real way to lose weight is to CHANGE your diet

It is not to GO ON a diet. We are all on diets, some of us on bad ones, some of us on good ones, but whatever we eat is our diet.

You need to CHANGE your diet, and plan for the long haul, it can take months or years to lose weight (the same months and years it took to put it on).

If you change to a "good" diet then you will start to lose weight, but after the initial 3 or 4 pounds a week it can drop to only 1 or 2 pounds a week, but you just need to stick at it.

If you keep up your "good" diet the weight will come off, and most importantly, IT IS LIKELY TO STAY OFF.

All these stupid "Hollywood" diets or "Cauliflower" diets or whatever are just a load of rubbish and are only there to help people sell books.

Just CHANGE from a BAD diet to a GOOD diet and you will lose weight.

I am always amazed at how many people type "loose" when the mean lose.

Lose is the opposite of Win or Gain.

Loose means baggy as in "loose fitting clothes"
