Thats a terrible petition - they are basically wanting the social workers, doctor and health visitor involved in the case to be dismissed , without knowing the full circumstances of how the decisions were made?

There will be a full official review made into this - the Sun should wait until this has reported before demanding any resignations. The Sun has no moral scruples - if it sells more papers they'll do it or publish it.....I don't think for a minute this has anything to do with Baby P or saving further children from harm.

what circumstances that baby was battered and nobody rescued him or noticed enough to stop this. so yes off with their heads as they are there to spot this type of abuse and yes report it and stop it before it gets to this stage .60 times he was seen by different ones and nothing just home for another dig or worse with his list of injuries he must of looked a woeful state when the gp saw him how could she miss all of that an adult could'nt take that much pain .sorry if this offends people but i get so angry when something this horrid happens and it could have been stopped .what a waste of an innocent life .

Who was responsible for the baby?

The parents or the government?

Everyone seems to want to blame social services for what happened, but the scum parents need to be dealt with also, bring back hanging. For them and thousands like them.

If the Sun wanted to do something why not donate some money to (or do a collection for) Childline.

Spammers has the right idea...

i think it is good they are doing this petition, these doctors and social workers should never be allowed to examine another child.. they obviously cant do their job properly... would you want them to examine your child.. i know i wouldnt.. That poor boy lost his life cause these peoplemissed the facts.. im sorry im no doctor but how on earth can you not detect a broken back.. he must have been in pain around the spinal area..The sun shouldnt have to wait for anything.. the people deserve the right to know that the people who are meant to keep their children safe are actually doing their jobs properly.. oh while they are at it.. they should RETRAIN the people who train these people, they obviously have no idea ither.. makes me sick to think that you reckon the sun should wait.. these people deserve everything they get..... they to blame aswell

Boys and girls, this ^ is the Sun's target readership.

Oh, and of course, the parents are blameless in all of this, eh?

Channel 4 news, BBC news, ITV news and all the broadsheets including the Daily Telegraph have all reported exactly the same injuries to this baby and the different injuries that were missed. I only quoted the Sun as they are they only newspaper group that seem to have the guts to actually side with humanity instead of trying to sweep it under the carpet like the rest. After i read the story i like most people wanted to do something but didn't know what.
I am not saying the parents are not to blame - of course they are- but we all know the british justice system and how even if they are jailed they can still have more children and continue to abuse the child and the social system.
How can social services remove a child they deem to be obese from a loving home yet stand back when a child is conststantly physically battered and abused. This baby had no fingernails or fingertips once these people had finished- how did the services miss this. Yet you give you child one big mac too many and they put your child in care.
What ever happened to GREAT Britain???

apart from the 3 in court for actually killing baby - yes doctors were at fault - so were social services and other attending agencies

step back a minute and think - would i have reported this family if you thought something untoward was going on

there was a 'friend' of the mothers who guaranteed she was living there to help the mother - she lied - get her to court

and then think again - would you have rung social services - nspcc etc -

SHAME ON SOME PEOPLE - YOU KNOW WHY - COS 'THEY DONT WANT TO GET INVOLVED'
and thats why these terrible atrocities are happening here in uk - not in rwanda - congo etc - here on our doorsteps!!!!!!

it is all anonymous and if nothing is happening all wELL and good - at least you have peace of mind - just in case there was a problem

you can rest in peace now baby p

i wont be signing

i would of certainly got involved and reported the people concerned if i thought a child was in danger.not all people sit back and do nothing the people we are signing the petition about are actually paid to assess and stop abuse or as a doctor spot the signs of injury and illness and none spotted anything even after the 60 visits between the organizations nothing was detected.and yes the parents are to blame as well but we all know that these people are put there in place to spot these horrid parents and to intervene so as to save these children from abuse and harm.in this case after 60 visits.what is the point in social services and other agencies if they cant spot the signs and step in.

Excellent post - have some rep.

The Sun are the typical tabloid idiots who like to apportion the blame where it suits their readership. It's all too easy to pin the blame on those to make it a convenient scape goat scenario, when it's the parents who should be getting all the attention. The Government and Local Government agencies always cop too much of the flak for the actions of others.

This whole thing has upset me no end.
I cannot think of a single time a news story has made me cry, but this just awful.
Being a dad of two young'ns I suppose this just hits you harder.

With out stirring things up, it is a shame we do not have public flogging, because these "things" would not last 5 seconds with the way people feel.

That second article is so vile - how can anyone do those things to a child. It is unbelieveable. It is so upsetting - honestly these people deserve corporal punishment.

The second article is also from 'The Daily Squib' - who's own tagline is "The Daily Squib is a satirical publication and should therefore not be taken too ****ing seriously..."

Yes this is an appalling case but so is the Sun's predictable thirst for blood, sensationalism and sales...
