Thats evil Bitsey but 40 years from now they'll take you out in your battery powered wheel chair and when it runs out of power half a mile from home. They'll say "Mum remember that time we got COD6....." and walk off and leave you.

Boys have long memories for such things. I still haven't forgiven my mother for throwing away my shop bought catapult....and don't get me started on my comic collection.

How old are they by the way? Our 13 year old is pestering to buy this but I've refused quoting the 18 rating.

13 and 15, level headed lads, as far as im concerned its down to the parent, their choice and decision.

I actually agree. It's the parents of kids who take an interest in what their kids are doing that have the best luck. You seem to do that.

Doesn't sound like they'll be middle-aged bigots:thumbsup:

I have heard from an objective player, that it is quite bad rating wise compared to the last one.

Kids mature at different ages. The best thing a parent can do is take an interest and judge accordingly.

Seems like OP is doing that.

not up to u to judge other parents choices.... im sure she knows her children better than u :)

There are no age restrictions; just advice based on the content.

I've posted this once already today in another thread, so please excuse me if you have read this before...

Are you aware the Pan European Game Information [PEGI] ratings system is self-regulated & not enforceable by UK law (at present)?

Also, the British Board of Film Classification [BBFC] system that is used on some home video & video game releases, but primarily for film (cinema) classifications, is also not enforceable by UK law at present either:
---
The Department for Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) has notified the BBFC of a serious issue which has come to light in relation to the Video Recordings Act 1984 (VRA). Because the then British Government failed to notify the European Commission under the Technical Standards and Regulations Directive (83/189/EEC) of the Act, the VRA is no longer enforceable against individuals in the United Kingdom...
---

Those Supermarkets or other retail outlets asking for identification (for proof of age of the customer) in order to sell the game are doing so under their own policies, not because of UK law stipulations.
