POLICE investigating reports of disturbances at a house were left stunned when they witnessed paranormal activity.

The officers witnessed clothes flying across a room, lights going off and when they went back on the lampshades were upside down and oven doors opening and closing.

WTF!!!

I don't believe ghosts or poltergeist exist, I think it's more likely a clash of dimensions.

Did that make the police report? Sounds like a viral hoax for a Scottish remake of police academy.

Cameras? Proof? Didn't think so

It's actually real, I've experienced it myself.

I know someone involved in a local poltergeist case that was the subject of a book. He witnessed things moving around without explanation, bangs, weird knocking and doors opening and closing with added handle movement. I think there was a couple of full blown apparition sightings too.

He's not the type to believe in things like this - he's your typical no nonsense hard man type (bouncer) and I have no reason not to believe him.

Some weird stuff does happen that cannot always be easily explained, I think science has the answer.

I think considering the woman doesn't want to speak to the press she isn't doing this for 5 mins of fame, couple that with the fact that Police and their seniors are backing this up, I do think there is substance to this story.

Very good point, I think they have to turn them on if they suspect it could get ugly so as to have evidence. They may have been too spooked to turn them on.
I trust as officers who have served for 20 years they would not lie, but if it's not all over national news I question the authenticity. Not that I fully trust the media either. Bizarre :{

I don't think all police wear them, all armed police do but not beat bobbys. (I could be wrong though)

It's a load of rubbish X)

The source isn't named and there is no statement from the police.

"A source said"

"The source added"

"Our source said"

It sounds like their source is Derek Acorah looking for work.

Police officers in Scotland have called in representatives from the Catholic Church after investigating reports of “disturbing incidents” of a "poltergeist" at a family home.

“The officers attended expecting it to be a mental health issue but they witnessed the lights going off, clothes flying across the room and the dog [the family’s pet Chihuahua] sitting on top of a hedge," a police source said.

It's a shame we don't live in an era in which practically everyone on the planet walks around with a video camera in their pockets everywhere they go, isn't it? If we did, maybe there'd be some sort of proof of this.

I remember my next door neighbour`s had the toothpaste tube chasing the toothbrush around and around in their bathroom before the local Priest was brought in to calm it all down. :|X)

No such thing as ghosts, haunted houses, or flying dogs.

Ok maybe I'm mistaken about the last one.

I used to live in a haunted house, got used to it being there in the end and just ignored it.

It's a fake, there is no way this happened....
... The Police would never have been bothered to turn up in the first place!

It's quite a long story. But the short version is my partner got possessed. Someone did some black magic on her. We spoke to the entity or Jinn as we call them in our culture. And told us that a magician was paid to basically cast a spell to break our marriage up. As a result the magician sent the jinn to do its bidding. It affected my partner a lot but we overcome it and got rid of it. May seem far fetched I know and in all honestly I wouldn't believe it either previously. But until you go through it yourself you wouldn't understand really.

Presumably you're Muslim, In which case you HAVE to believe it. If you don't believe it then you cannot be a Muslim from what i've been told. It comes part of the package. But yeah, i have muslim friends that apparently had a Jinn (only happens to Religious people). Apparently he had a jinn because he argued with everyone all the time over money. Then they got rid of this jinn and now he's the happiest person in the world.. apparently.

Looking from outside of the box, i would say that greed and money were the root cause. Believing in backwards beliefs and being scared of ghosts, oh and being mentally ill in some form plays the main part in this.

As i say its part of some religions to believe in this kind of thing, plus religious families like to blame a external source rather than blaming the actual person themselves for whatever is happening.

Soon they'll blame jinns for terrorists murdering innocent people. They'll say he was cursed and had no control over what he was doing.

It keeps the believers.... believing.

What a load of rubbish!

I bought my wife a box of Black Magic and all she got was fat!

Actually, believing in that voodoo rubbish and Jinn's etc is what leads to innocent children being murdered.

If you believe in Jinn's then you might as well believe in the tooth fairy.
