Policy: Currys Price Match Promise using £5 Voucher?

Hi Guys

Just a little problem.

I have reserved an item at Comet. The same item at Currys is £8 more. Do you think Currys will Price Match Comet, then which will match Comet's price, minus another 10% then let me use my voucher?

If so, the item wil cost me £20.19 rather than the £35 Currys are quoting (this is went up from £28.00 yesterday!)

If all fails, would they match Comet and let me still use voucher (Voucher says "Not to be used in conjunction with any other discount, but surely a Price Promise could not be included in this?)

Many Thanks
Disco

They wont let you use both...
Tried doing that the other day. Found a game cheaper elswhere, they pricematched it no problem.
Then said I would like to use code £5 off but the tills would'nt accept it.
Finished up buying some batteries.

When they say the till wont accept it thats the biggest load off rubbish they could spout. It looks to me that they deduct the voucher manually. A good example off this is when you buy two items that cost £4.97. They will scan both items and then discount them individually. They will give you any old rubbish to not take the voucher. Go back and try and use it agan.

They won't let you do both, I tried the price match and got the same line as "the till won't let you do it".

I asked for a manager who took a look at the voucher and said it could not be used in conjunction with any other voucher/offer (it does say this on the voucher).

so bascially, they would price match then deduct 10% making it slighty more than £25. Guess a good get a few batteries like!

What if I just said price match without the 10% discount, would they let me use it then?

I would just advise you to take the voucher instore and hope you dont get a jobsworth that serves you.

would rather let someone else use it if it wasnt 100% sure of getting it using voucher. Mite as well wait until the sales when it'll go down again

the till system lets you manually add discount but the voucher is scanned after the sale is totalled. if there is already discount on the sale, it won't add more.
its a stupid system but its the truth.
