Sounds totally ridiculous, but often something that comes up in our house. 2 of us wear our watches on the same arm as we write with, 2 of us wear it on the opposite arm that we write with. Cant decide who are the weird ones so decided to see which is more common!!!

Soooo, do you...
a) Wear your watch on same arm as you write with (e.g. right handed + wear on right arm)
b) Wear your watch on opposite arm to the one you write with (e.g. right handed + wear on left arm)
c) Wear your watch on either arm
d) Dont wear a watch

d) I don't wear a watch. But you should add to your list whether it's worn on the inside or outside of the wrist.

I used to wear it on my right arm, since I was told at school that if I wore it on my left, it meant I was gay. These days though, I just rely on my own sense of time, or if I need to be super-precise, I use my mobile.

I switch depending on what I'm doing.

Work - I wear it on my left because I write with my right.

Out and about - Left, because I have a habit of whacking my watch on doorframes if it's on my right.

Also depends what watch I'm wearing.

for some reason in school I thought left was for a man and right was seen as for women....so wearing it on the right if a man would make you gay lol.

That was obviously playground BS lol

Always on the left

It is designed to be worn on the left arm so you can twist the crown with your right hand while still wearing the watch, to adjust time etc. Or start stop watch for chronograph etc.

ooh, good point, lol. I always thought there was no right or wrong, but if you think of it that way there kinda is.

Right handed and wear it on my left.

Is that the reason why? I remember my parents always nagging me to wear mine on my right arm, they do it to my daughters now too.

i remember i had my very first watch, and i put it on my right arm. My older peers kept on asking me why im wearing it on my right and if im gay (or a girl), and was consequently taught that left was for guys and right for girls.

When i go out (moving to recent times), all the guys with watches have it on their left, so I suppose its true :-D

So you switch between Left @ work and Left when going out? :whistling:

My phone's rubbish so i don't have that problem lol.
My version would probably be:

Thugs: "Yo, you got da time?"
You: *Pulls out rubbish phone"
Thugs: "WTF?"

*Thugs run away*

You: *Checks the time, does a nice John Wayne movement and puts the phone back in pocket*
