was told from doc this is what i had! anyway been to the specialist yesterday and was quite annoyed been told what i have (will try and list it!) is incurable but they can operate to relieve the symptoms for a while(between 3-12months) which is nothing but seen as i cannot breathe at all through my nasal passage! they want me in asap and my op through general anasaethic is this friday the 29th! this week! i am not prepared at all!

yep thats what worries me! :roll: anyways i have been married 21 years this year(yeh i am only 38!) and this has had such a big impact and does interefere with your sex life also very irritating!

My dad has had this operation numerous times over the years and, although it might seem a bit daunting, it's a standard procedure and the worst thing about it is that your nose will be packed after the operation to stop the bleeding. When the bleeding has stopped they remove the packing and from what i remember with my dad you'll really notice the difference. Usually he had between 1-5 years without needing it operated on again, but it's a lot longer since he last had the operation, probably about 10 years as they didn't grow back as much the last time.

Hope the operation goes well and that you find out it's worthwhile having it done!

make sure you buy yourself a nice book or a magazine for when you wake up in hospital and you're bored waiting to be told you can go home. And take a pack of biccies to have with your tea once its all over x x

thanks c.o.m i was thinking of taking my ipod, dont know if im allowed though will need to phone and see as that and a magazine will be good and biccies for afters :thumbsup:
