  my sis has been,its very run down especially the budget rooms (take bleach)
  
  the entertainment was good though,there is a fair not far from there i think its pleasureland or something

  We stayed there for a long week-end a few years ago ( Sun voucher break ) We only used the chalet for sleeping & to be honest from what I can remember it was very basic & a bit grubby .. wouldn't go back. Sorry I haven't anything positive to tell you.

  Its what you make of it . we went to Salou last year for a week then we got a freebie to Ponints Southport. Granted the accomodation was not the Fred West , however the entertainment was ok. Its great to use as a base to get into southport. Also goto Southport for your food into the supermarket. Beach is good at southport , not too far from Liverpool (city of culture this year) or Blackpool ...We enjoyed outrselves as the kids absoloutly love it .....

  Its a cheapy family holiday and a good base to start to go in the north west ..

  This year (next week ) we got another freebie so going to Prestatyn . Wales is lovely .
  
  The way i look at it is that I am staying somewhere for 4 nights where Im cooking as i would at home but we are on holiday so dont really need spends , its a cheap break .....cheaper than going abroad this year , the kids LOVE it.

  prestatyn is ok!
  again a bit grubby but i have booked and paid for(i upgraded) to go again 21st-25th july
  
  its only half an hour from us as baby is a terrible traveller
  
  the blue coats were really good,evening entertainment was good too

  Thanks for all your replies, I got this free so I'm gonna go take a look, I'm a bit of a snob when it comes to some things so probably won't be overly impressed. Gonna take cleaning products and a few luxuries and make the best of it I think. I've got free cinema tickets off here (thanks to the poster of that) in Liverpool for one night so will probably just use the chalet as a base and enjoy the surrounding area as much as possible, keep my fingers crossed for nice weather so we can enjoy the beach and I'll have amazing company so.......

  Someone in our office has just been talking to me who also has got the free one aswell. she will be in Southport in 2 weeks ....she paid the first time and got this free ...We have just discussed the fact that some people expect allsorts and If you go there with the view its a base and a free holiday its one of them holidays where - how can i explain - if youve ever had rough times sometimes you remember them fondly .....well its like that ....just let yourself go .....enjoy yourself and be posh in a posh place .......:-D enjoy it .....we will again thanks for the rep

  Great again, The kids really enjoyed it . they were smiling all of the time , running around in the triangle of grass out the front, loved postman Pat(so did the kids), We didnt leave the site .....lovely having brekkie on a morning ....It was like a scene from Alfred hitchcocks " the birds" though with all the seagulls about . At first we were like "look at them fools feeding the gulls" by the second day we had started. The only complaint was the sofa bed ... when folded into a bed they boweed terrible in the middle . I was hanging onto the edge cos everytime i let go , felt like i was roilling down a hill until i slammed into the wife.
  Other people said the same about the beds but agreed that it was a great break , for nothing. Thanks to HDUK.
