Thanks!

it's like a slightly smaller but just as good version of alton towers - a couple of good rides and well worth a visit if you are near barcelona !
there is a website , just google it and transalate to english - it will give you a more up to date details on the rides.

That would be fantastic -thank you. Just wanted to have a look and see what it's all about and show the kids, before we decide how many day's tickets to book. Is it perhaps not so good? I've used the Disney ones before and they were really helpful as they show you round the park quite well but maybe this one is just as well looking on the website?

Is the waterpark any good?

Ive been a couple off times. We usually go in Sep,Oct time. What i found both times in not all the rides are in operation. This maybe die to the season. We are going again this year but I am going to get my tickets in the resort this time. I was told you can purchase tickets cheap in the English pub on the main Salou strip for £10 each.

The waterpark is next door but was shut both times when we went so cant help on that fromt.

AAAAARGH!! Just checked the calendar on their website after reading this post, and the water park is shut when we're there. That's tragic, as I promised my 6yr old that we'd go to a water park in Spain.

Any other water parks in that part of the country (2-3 hours drive of Cambrils/Salou) that anybody has heard of that are likely to be open late October?

I read that somewhere else too. Wonder what pub...don't fancy a pub crawl with 3 & 6yr olds in tow!

Do you guys reckon the ticket prices will come down if I leave it till after summer season to book? Can't work out the potential effect of all this Euro shenanigans on this sort of thing.

The season finishes toward the end off Oct. I cant remember the name off the English pub. It may have been an Irish bar. We didnt go last year but went 3 years in a row before that. It was a bit quite the last time we went and I expect it will be the same. The price off the tickets is pretty much set and the price off the Euro wont affect it very much. What hotel are you staying at?

We were there in May with my OH, 3 children 2,4 and 7 and my mum and dad. There is a new area called Sesamo Aventura and its aimed at kids but fun for adults too. Very bright colours and a few good kiddies rides. Other areas of the park have kiddie rides too but spent quite a lot of time in there. Huge kiddies play area/climbing frame in there and also near the china area. My kids could have played there all day. You only pay for children over 4 years. I always buy my tickets before I go so I don't need to use my spending money on them I bought my tickets from attractiontix. Print the e-voucher and take it to customer services and you are issued with your passes. I bought me and my OH a weekly pass but we like going on rollercoasters and for my mum and dad and kids a 2day pass but they need to be consecutive days. There are shows also that can be good to see, the wild west stunt show is great. Water park wasn't open in early may either but my kids really enjoyed playing at the beach and pool. Sorry don't have a map as the youngest destroyed it.

Hope this helps

REALLY good theme park

Went last year and took a 3 day pass out i think. Hard to do all the rides in one go so its nice to know you can go any day or time. The dragon khan rollercoaster and water rides are a must to go on

The water park next door to it is great as well, Queues were quite long for the main big slides but worth it

i went last tuesday, bought my ticket from the hotel for 44 euro (one day ticket) but i think the two day ticket only cost a few euros more. On arrival at 10.30am we made the massive mistake of going on the first ride near the enterance, the ride was called Furious Baco and we queued up for TWO and HALF hours :( but later in the afternoon the waiting time was around 30 minutes which i found for most of the rides after 3pm. It might be worth paying the extra for fast pass tickets. I went on all the major rides and enjoyed it but wouldn't go back.

Do they still have the epic dragon roller coaster? Went over twelve years ago and can remember being awe inspired lol

An awesome ride that one. You need to get there earlier! We stayed in the theme parks hotel for a few days after a few days in Barcelona, before heading to the coast. Nice hotel and you get early access to rides!

Makes a nice change to British themeparks/Disney. Very nice, clean park.

We're staying at a Eurocamp place near Cambrils, Playa Montroig. Think it's just a few miles away from Salou. Hoping it will be nice and quiet then too as it'll be late Oct.

Thank you - the Sesamo thing sounds exactly the sort of thing my kids would love. Looked at attractiontix, good to hear that they don't have any problems using them!

Thanks for that! I had wondered if there was a more detailed one like there is at Disney Paris but obviously not.

Just wondering if the price varies when it's out of peak season? Apart from finding the bar with the cheap tickets (unless anyone knows for sure where it is!), is Attractiontix the best place to try and get tickets from?
